AVCONSULTING 0 Posted June 6, 2004 I haven't used this one, just downloaded and looked over the manual and it has a lot of nice features. I'd be interested in what you think of the quality of the picture and ease of use. It looks so familiar, I'm sure I've seen another brand use this software but can't pinpoint it. Currently, the browser based after restart, I can connect and view video, but then switching to another server, blue screen and shut down. The windows exe connects, then gives me a kernel error. loop 0 Posted June 6, 2004 Now installed the client and it works just fine. Same TV programs on the second site, and too dark to see anything on the first one. The compression is nothing special, ~2k for a medium-low quality frame. From a quick glance it seems to have a bad GUI design. I'll look into it deeper later. As far as the software not intalling correctly, that's pretty much a nail in the coffin for me. Everything has to be fluid in the installation from start to finish. Something small like that can kill our installation schedule. I need to be able to have my people go in after the cams are installed and aimed and drop in the server, configure it, and train the client in a short ammount of time. qman 0 Posted June 7, 2004 Damm people, then how come I got the system up and running with no problems? the windows files that it changed was the MPEG4 and Wavelet files. I already sent the factory a e-mail about it, and they will edit the installer to ask you first about installing these particular files.
