Weigand Reader and Access Controller

Hi,

I have setup a (WG2004) 4 door 4 reader access controller with a SiB 5x2 weigand mifare reader/keypad. I have it all working great over RS485 with RFID cards but I would like to add a pin number option. I would prefer not to store the user codes in the keypad (it can store 2000 when operating as a stand alone unit).

 

Can anybody tell me if a reader/keypad sends out a manually entered pin number over weigand or is this just for RFID cards?

Not familiar with that controller but most Access Control Software have an option in the software to:

Card plus Pin

Card or pin

card only

allow card number to be entered on keypad
