turnbui 0 Posted December 28, 2016 hello everyone, i have a mains operated CCTV camera that has a 12v 2A dc mains adapter. i have no idea what it draws when saving a 10 second night vision motion to on board microSD card. Would it be possible to replace mains adapter with a Li-poly rechargeable batt and need charge say once month or better? thanks
almelst 1 Posted December 28, 2016 No! If yor system draws 2A current, it means that it needs 2Ah of 12V battery capacity for an hour of work. For a month you should have 30 days x 24 hours x 2 amps = 1440 Ah of battery capacity which is simply impossible. And you should have another one (smaller) to use while the first one is charging.
