sbbcarl 0 Posted January 15, 2017 I am looking into getting an NVR in the upcoming weeks and need to determine which is the best way to go. I currently have this in my cart, Hikvision DS-7616NI-I2/16P 16CH IP Network Video Recorder Integrated 16 POE Embedded Plug & Play 4K NVR [2016 New Model]. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BXOPV0K/ref=ox_sc_act_image_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AUKQTJ8MDYFA2 Along with that, I have 7 of these cameras: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012IE4GNC/ref=crt_ewc_img_dp_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2MLIBVIM11JW8 I currently own 3 ONVIF cameras that I would also add to the 7 that I would be purchasing leaving me with 6 open ports for cameras in the future, which is more than enough. My question is about the NVR and brand - specifically if I should/could get anything better for the ~$450 price tag? POE is a must and 12 cameras is a minimum. Need a way to be able to auto backup data to a remote location and believe that Hikvision has a tool to do just that. Anyone want to convince me to spend my money on another setup? The NVR and 7 cameras I have selected put me at about the $1200 range, and thats without the two hard drives I will need to add in. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
