NVR for analog and IP-cams?

Recommended Posts

I have one XVision PCC427 (analog, 600 TV Lines, not sure if it supports ONVIF) and one 420 TVL (analog, not ONVIF) video camera.

I want to plug these two cameras and two other IP cameras to cheap 8 stream NVR or something else, which records all 4 cameras to hard drive and shows videos in monitor.

Do i understand correctly that these NVRs below do not have analog video inputs?

XVision Plug & Play HD IP NVR for up to 8 (720P or 1080P) Cameras XRN0808E

XVision 960H 8 channel professional real time DVR - XR960D8

What options i have? All Network Video Encoders i have found are expensive. I now have 4 cameras but might have few more in future.

Thanks

First of all ONVIF is an inter-operability standard for IP cameras, it has nothing at all to do with analog systems so get that out of your head.

NVR = Network video recorder which is also made specifically for IP cameras, not analog.

DVR = Digital Video Recorder <---- this is what you are looking for!

Hybrid DVR can be an answer if you like to re-use the old analog cameras. But 4 Ch NVR can be your option, replacing the analog cameras.
