DVR with seperate external HD

It has always worried me that if I had a break in & my DVR was taken so is my HD & my evidence, has anyone any suggestions for automatic back-up to another piece of equipment?

Does your system software allow for backup to another device and or your network? It would seem if you could put a NAS in another location that would be more secure.
