Help with coax installed Used to IP cameras (aplogies)

Hi Guys,

Ive been asked by a client to replace an old analogue coax system with a more modern hik turbo 3.0 EXIR cameras.

I want to know can i use the cat5e cable (all ready in place) to power the camera as well as use the balun, or am i safer to install a new 0.5mm 2 core power cable to each camera?

SO, they have COAXIAL cable, or CAT5E cable?

 

You can use both with Turbo HD (HDTVI) cameras.

there using cat5e for camera and for power alarm cable,

If the Cat5E cable is good quality, you can use it for both video (one pair) and power (the 3 remaining pairs).

 

If it is not good enough or the runs are very long, you can use the alarm cable for power.
