jdub765 0 Posted February 8, 2017 Hi, first time poster, but I've browsed quite a bit in the past. So I'm currently looking for an NVR to put in a safe. I have an IP cam setup with 6 3MP cameras running off POE, currently recording to BlueIris on my computer. I upgraded to Windows 10 a few months ago and the computer has become unreliable and freezes every few days. Reinstalled Win10 fresh, bought new power supply, new RAM, new HD, but still keeps freezing and I'm getting frustrated. I've always thought about a redundant recording method (in case the computer gets stolen) so I wanted to put a NVR in a safe. I haven't purchased it yet but we're planning on getting a large 24 cu ft safe so there'll be plenty of room, and a plus is that the NVR could double as a dehumidifier. I'd like it to be an NVR so that I only need to run 1 ethernet cable into the safe. The lower the power consumption the better due to it being an enclosed space. Do you guys have any recommendations?
