It just worked on my old DVR My previous HQ-Cam brand 1080p TVI DVR system developed some issues, so I purchased a new Hikvision-based DVR to replace it. The software that came with it is the ivms-4200 software. I have the cameras configured to record 24x7, plus I defined some motion detection areas on the cameras. The motion detection is working - I can go to Remote Playback > Event Playback and all the motion detection events shows up there just fine. But if I am in the normal Playback window the timeline at the bottom is just one big blue bar, no motion detection events shown in it. How do I make it show the motion detection events in the timeline? I would even settle for somehow tricking it to make motion detection also trigger a fake alarm so that the alarm event showed in the timeline. I just want something more useful than a big solid blue bar. This worked perfectly in the NVMS-1000 software I used to use, no problems at all. Thanks!
