New member looking for advise

Hello ,

 

I am looking for advise on purchasing a Digital video system for my home. I been doing research on the common brands like Lorex and Swann.

 

The more I research I do the more I am heading towards hiring a professional whom deal with this system on a daily basis and can direct me onto better system or more for my buck. I was planning to buy a Lorex system and installing it myself but the reviews of the product is horrible.

 

I pretty much want 8 to 10 cameras in a network where I can review the footage via phone or computer. I will also like to be able to record at night and something that will last or professional grade. I work with cameras all day ( military ) but have no clue on what is a good brand to go to

The amount of choices out there is pretty intimidating. If I were going to buy an all in one system today, I'd look at something like this

Its a higher end lorex system, not the stuff found at walmart.
