We don't have a monitor connected to the nvr, so we want to use our laptop as the screen. We have connected the laptop to the nvr via hdmi, but we can't view the nvr. Also monitor or not you still will not have access to your router from your NVR. Search for NVR over your network with laptop ..... Enter NVR IP into laptop and you will connect.
