dvr unit connection

hi hope someone can help me !!!!!!!!!!! . i have a stand alone dvr unit and it has a bnc monitor out connection, also s-vhs socket that i think is out as well. what i would like to do is connect this unit to my pc monitor through my pc some way ?.is this possable, if so how and do i nead software thanks a lot tom
