Need some advice on a new system

One of those Vivint salesmen almost talked me into installing their outdoor cameras. I am going to be traveling for a few months and I would like to install a a few outdoor security cameras particularly in the front and back of the house. I dont have much land to cover in the front or back so I will probably need 3-4 cameras. My house is 2 stories so if I go with a DVR I will proly have to run the cables down from the room. I would prefer a system that has some sort of motion viewer that can be viewed on my computer. I am not looking for top quality, but I do want something that will last.

Aren't these the same set that Costco sells? Any others with a system that does not require purchase of cloud

many mfgs have a system that allows remote viewing over the internet with no requirement for cloud storage or monthly fees.
