cokestone 0 Posted April 12, 2017 Hi guys, I have a DVR connected to a 12V mic with cat5 cable for live audio: 2 wires for + and - and 2 for audio. The audio works ok but the quality is really bad. I know that with an audio balun adapter the problem will be solved, but is there a cheaper way of doing it? Cheers,
Tronic-Extreme 0 Posted April 12, 2017 Hello, When you say the quality is bad, is there any interference, or does it not pick up the sound as you would like? Omair

Omair Hi Omair, I think it's a bit of both and defo it's because mismatched impedance between the two ends (mic-out/NVR-in)....
cokestone 0 Posted April 18, 2017 Mic placement and type of ceiling and floor make a big difference Hard ceiling and or floor make for problems This is not the case, bacause we have the same issue in lots of places, which they have different ceilings/floors and mic placement.
