Gesualdo 0 Posted July 3, 2006 thanks Rory, Sorry for not getting back right away, been helping him and others out. He made out pretty lucky. No one was hurt and only had a few inches of water downstairs through the patio doors, only lost the carpet. Moved everything else up before as the water kept rising. Outside is a mess. Trees and other debris. the kids lost their toys out there, but aren't complaining because they are getting new stuff. the water has never been that high in his area before, ever. The neighbors 3 doors down lost pretty much everything after building his new house in a kind of gully. stripping it to see what can be salvaged and rebuilt. foolish if you ask me, but when all your money is tied up into paying it off, you have do what you have to do, and hope. rory 0 Posted July 3, 2006 yep .. closest ive come to flooding is the sewar overflowing into my appt .. 3 times since ive been here !!
