kmarnold 0 Posted April 22, 2017 I recently installed a new home security system and, because of limited attic access in one section of the house, I need to run a few cables along the exterior of the home. Can anyone recommend a good way to protect and conceal those wires? I'm able to drill and screw into the siding, but would prefer to limit or avoid that, if possible. Thank you! jimmyv2017 0 Posted April 22, 2017 Are you able to tuck the wires under the siding or the j channel?? I did that for 1 of my cams.
kmarnold 0 Posted April 23, 2017 No, unfortunately. I'm guessing it's some kind of cement board. Except for a little texture, it's a smooth surface - no overlapping boards like traditional siding.
tomcctv 190 Posted April 23, 2017 Hi. How many cameras are you looking to install at that location ? You might find if looking at 4 or less at that location cat5 is your best option as you can run upto 4 camera down 1 cable making it easier and tidier
