MJR 0 Posted April 24, 2017 Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. We had a HIKVISION Camera installed last year and I'm trying to figure out how to change the time as it's an hour behind because of the daylight savings time - I've gone into the configuration menu but I'm not allowed to do anything - it comes up with a permission denied message and I can't get hold of the guy who set it up for us. It does give me the option to change my password but I didn't want to alter it in case it caused further problems (I don't have administration rights either) - is it just a case of changing my current password to get access to the configuration menu - or is it more complicated than that? Apologies for sounding like a Luddite. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.
tomcctv 190 Posted April 24, 2017 Hi. You will have basic user rights and changing your password will still only give user rights. If you can pm me your serial number and date and time I will give you a code. But this will only work on hikvision that came with a password out of the box.... new hikvision as from February don't have a factory password the installer has to generate one on first setup
