Can I Connect DVR to a Computer by using Switch

DVR: Samsung model SVR1645 with analog cameras

Computer: Using Smart Viewer Software

Switch: NORTEL

Cable: CAT6 Ethernet

hello gadget assistant , i have made ip address for dvr and pc and i have succefull connection between them from cmd but there is no video showing in smart viewer software...

 

please any one can help me

friends, i try to see the connection from cmd command and its fine with successful reply . there is no problom with static ip address.

i open smart viewer software and i put the dvr device from setting and its showing but since i press on connection its not showing the live video ..

 

please any one can give me the steps or any other software used for samsung dvr

i enter ip address from the dvr setting

 

dvr ::

ip type: static

ip address: 192.168.1.3

subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

gateway: 192.168.1.1

dns: non

http port: non

port : 4520

 

switch ::

no ip its active port

 

computer ::

ip address: 192.168.1.2

subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

gateway: 192.168.1.1

dns: non

i enter in web browser:

http/192.168.1.3:4520

 

it show me

ipolis network product administrato

i enter the user id and password

then page require to instal webviewer i do it but then nothing showing in page its empty...

 

any help please

Hi. The SVR1645 is from 2009.

 

Even Samsung does not support it anymore.

The direct ip login will also not work for you as it's not supported for the new windows.

 

You would be better off buying a new recorder. Keep existing cameras

the dvr svr-1645 not support the s/w

 

so i change the dvr to srd-1650d and its working fine
