Ultima 0 Posted May 14, 2017 (edited) Last night at about 3:30 am my camera detected motion and captured this video. At first I though it was insects that set it off but after watching it a few times I noticed the difference, all the dots move at the same time and rate across the screen. There is no chance of it being light reflected from a car or anything else. I'm not sure if someone was pointing a laser or flashlight at it or if this kind of thing can be caused by something else. The light source appears to be coming from the right of the camera(the only blind spot on my property). Please let me know what you think. Thanks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pG4X0DD2G9M https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pG4X0DD2G9M Edited May 14, 2017 by Guest
mattaggie 0 Posted May 14, 2017 I didnt see anything abnormal. Unless you are talking about dust or insects being lit up by the IR lights.
Ultima 0 Posted May 14, 2017 I've had dust and bugs captured numerous times but this is different...all of the 3-4 spots move at the same time and rate across the screen, maybe it is bugs or dust but I've never seen it look like that. Thanks for your reply.
Ultima 0 Posted May 14, 2017 I thought it was insects or dust at first too, until i watched it a few times.
51cent 8 Posted May 14, 2017 I'm wondering if it could be something like those laser Xmas lights that move in a pattern?

Ultima 0 Posted May 14, 2017 Hi. I'm not sure what brand of camera it is. Its from Rogers home monitoring. Someone on another forum said it was a single strand of a spider web blowing in the wind and now that I've watched it a few more times I beleive that s what it is. Thanks for replying everyone.
