antisocialpandora 0 Posted May 18, 2017 Okay, when I try to back up files from my DVR onto a flash drive it won't let me. It reads "No Data" on the screen. I know the data has been recorded onto my DVR, because when I go to that day Im trying gto back up onto a flash drive it plays. So, why does it say "no data"? Haggis!! 0 Posted May 18, 2017 Little more info required befor some one could help you, What Dvr do you have? What size of USB are you using and what format is it? Reason I ask that is depending on the age of the Dvr it might not see a USB drive over 2GB, or if your USB is over 32GB it will be formatted to ntfs, again a lot of dvrs don't like nyfs formatted drives so I always make sure any external USB drive I use for cctv recovery is formatted to FAT32. GadgetAssistant 0 Posted May 19, 2017 Hello. most DVR's will require a search to be completed before either playing back or exporting the video. No data might be indicating an error where there was no search made when you are trying to backup. The search you made to play back the video may not extend itself for a backup.
