edmar 0 Posted June 9, 2017 Hi guys, have you encountered the error when adding new HDD to a Hikvision NVR? So this is what happened, I have a Hikvision NVR model DS-7716NI-E4 with 3 out of 4 slots with WD 4TB Purple HDDs installed... I added a new WD 4TB Purple HDD to the existing setup and this is where the error in the image attached happened. I tried to isolate the issue by doing the steps below but unfortunately it didnt help 1. using another SATA cable for the newly installed HDD 2. transferring the problematic HDD to another slot that was working 3. restarting the NVR Any ideas as to why this happened and how to recover the data in the problematic HDD?
