FLH 0 Posted June 12, 2017 I'm in the process of setting up a GW5532 NVR & 12-GW4555MIP cameras. NVR will record cameras in normal mode, but will not record any motion or alarm events? Unit will send out emails for motion and alarm events along with attached picture on motion , plus events show in log. Schedule set for normal,motion & alarm all channels in NVR, 24/7. Also set motion enable, sensitivity on each camera and NVR. So motion detection is working but NVR is not recording motion and alarm events. Also when I search for motion or alarm events unit comes back with no data found? Have latest updates in camera's and NVR. Reset camera's and NVR several times, no improvement. TheF 0 Posted June 22, 2017 Try setting up motion detection on the IP camera. Old style analog DVR had the motion detection on the DVR side. New style IP NVR has the motion detection on the IP camera side. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I've tried setting up; motion in IP cameras, motion in IP cam's and NVR, motion in NVR alone, nothing worked to get the motion to record. I'm am in the process of replacing DVR with NVR.
