krolock 0 Posted June 14, 2017 I work for a major grocery chain and they want to convert some entrances that have aytomatic sliders to emergency exit only status. I would like to have a 15 second delayed egress at the door with an alarm. I got a quote from the door mfg to install a solenoid to prevent the doors from sliding and they will just breakaway in an emergency. Does anyone have any advice on this? Thanks in advance. ssmith10pn 0 Posted June 14, 2017 Carriage lock is the way to go. Use a mag lock as a last resort. I have done some mental institutions with slider man traps. We did carriage locks and mag locks. PITA!
