robertkrz 0 Posted June 22, 2017 Hi everyone, I have configured to store video from Hikvision camera to my NAS. However video recording stoppes when dedicated share for storing video gets full. Does anyone know how to automatically rotate video recording to overwrite oldest records? I can already say that setting disk quota on NAS user does not solve my problem. Any tips will be apprecited /Robert
TheF 0 Posted June 22, 2017 Is the camera set up to directly store to the NAS, or do you have an NVR/PC software to handle it for you? Because the NVR/PC software should have this option built-in. If the camera is set directly to the NAS, with no PC/software, you're probably gonna need an app for the NAS to detect and delete file based on time/date or set up a computer to routinely detect and delete files based on the same time/date. You might be lucky and the camera itself has this function, but I do not think so.
robertkrz 0 Posted June 22, 2017 I store directly to NAS and setup at Hikvision configuration. There is no option to swap video recording there. Probably you are right. I would need to make a script which will check NAS share and delete oldest files there.
