chachdog 0 Posted June 24, 2017 Is it a good idea to use a 360 outside under a corner soffit of a house about 7 feet tall? I realize some of the view would be aiming at the house and probably worthless but the rest might be good if I can get good enough resolution to capture a tag 40 feet away if I zoom or whatever on that particular image/video. I heard its hard to look at due to the warping but doesn't the software dewarp so its essentially 4 cameras? Also looking to mount a camera on my neighbors house but would like to be able to zoom into my house or have the resolution be good enough to do so after the recording. we thought a 360 on his house might be good too. but don't want to try to make 1 camera do the job of many as they say. thanks
51cent 8 Posted June 24, 2017 chachi, 360 degree camera is a bad choice for outdoor security. They will have poor night vision and very limited distance to get plates. You will need a dedicated camera for plates at night.
