Can NAS run Blueiris alone?

I am new to the NVR/Ethernet Cameras and NVR. I wanted to know if I could setup a NAS with Blueiris like Synology does. The only info I could find is running VM on the NAS to run Windows.

 

Can anyone steer me in the right direction Even if it seems I'm a crazy Hawaiian?

 

I'm looking at a PTZ 3mp, and 4ea 3mp cameras. All POE+.
