ttttrigg3r 0 Posted July 25, 2017 Hello all, I am totally new to cctv. I've never been close to a DVR. I'm trying to find out what is the minimum set-up it takes to record from 16 cameras. I've seen pictures of diagrams of how everything's connected, but there's always a computer and router involved. What if I just wanted to record from 16 cameras for 3 days? Will a 16 channel DVR with a big HDD and a monitor suffice? I have so many questions to ask. Which subsection do I go to ask questions about setting up a system for a multi-residential building?
