personalt 0 Posted July 12, 2006 Is there a website that has a working demo of the geovision software?
voloftn 0 Posted July 12, 2006 Here's a demo of the system, I suggest trying the Tokyo, Japan site. Use the MPEG4 viewer, select the DSL/CABLE connection and choose the multiview to see all of its ability to view remotely. http://www.geovision.com.tw/english/index.asp

personalt 0 Posted July 13, 2006 That demo looks good but what about playing archives? Right now I have been demoing xprotect and that has a client which allows me to play archived video. Also could I use the geovision software with a mix of analog an IP cameras? I have some IP cameras that I dont want to toss..
rory 0 Posted July 13, 2006 They have a remote playback client for that. Unfortunately most demos wont give a guest access to that. Remote playback is an area Geo can certainly do some more work on. Local Software wise they are loaded with features. Milestone is nice, though only for IP systems. Geo currently doesnt support IP cameras, unless you use a decoder to convert to CCTV at the DVR side. Otherwise there is Video Insight for that type of "hybrid" application. Rory
