NotSir 0 Posted September 5, 2017 Hi, I'm looking for a security camera that turns itself on and makes a recording, only when it has detected some motion, i.e. someone walked in the front door. I want a simple camera that does not need WiFi, or Internet. A simple camera I can just plug in my electrical socket, and one that doesn't stay on 24/7. Can anyone recommend a camera as specified? mattaggie 0 Posted September 8, 2017 look for a camera with and SD card slot. Most of them will have wifi capabilities, you just wont use it. The camera will "stay on" 24/7 but you can set it to record only on motion. It will record to the SD card. You would then have to put the card into a computer to view events.
