Saratogapp 0 Posted September 15, 2017 I'm new at this, so I appreciate your tolerance! I have built an Arduino based security system for my home and my garage/workshop is my Zone02. I have a method of switching on my CCTV camera and I have tested it by simply viewing the footage through my TV (plugged into the AV input) With me so far? What I would like to do is to have that footage recorded as a file onto a regular hard drive, not necessarily connected to a computer, but I don't have a clue how to do this. Ideally, when the camera is triggered by an intruded in Zone02, the hard disk starts up and the footage is recorded, leading to the immediate arrest of the crook. After the footage is complete (5 minutes) the hard disk should shut down, awaiting the next intrusion Simple is Good. I don't want to review the file remotely - I just want to capture it and I would greatly appreciate any suggestions....
