smokingjoe 0 Posted September 18, 2017 Hi all. I have a netgear router (N600 WNDR3800) that I am trying to get port forwarding set up on so I can get remote access to my Dahua nvr (G4-4K- using an Iphone. The router only gives me the option to open ports 80 and below. When I try to open ports 81 and up in the router, I get a message that the ports are being used by other devices and that I should check USB Rapid Share, Remote Management, Port Forwarding, Port Triggering, UPnP Mapping Table. The Dahua NVR only gives me the option to use the TCP ports 1025 to 65535. Any ideas how to get the netgear router to let me use ports higher than 80? tomcctv 190 Posted September 19, 2017 Hi. Good routers with good hi security. Did you add an application or use one from drop down list ? https://kb.netgear.com/24290/How-do-I-add-a-custom-port-forwarding-service-on-my-Nighthawk-router

smokingjoe 0 Posted September 29, 2017 I still not figured out what I need to do get ports 81 and up to open. Anyone have any ideas?
jazzar 0 Posted September 30, 2017 you usually have to create a new service with the port number and also allow it permission through the firewall. use canyouseeme.org from a pc connected to your router - input port number to test.
jazzar 0 Posted September 30, 2017 Once port forward service set up then set up Firewall rule to allow access to the new service:- see:- https://kb.netgear.com/8219/How-to-setup-Inbound-Outbound-firewall-rules-on-NETGEAR-Modem-router-gateways once done check if port is open via canyouseeme.org
