David3853 0 Posted October 2, 2017 Hello All I am building 4k CCTV system, I also have 150W floodlight outside my front house. I read the camera manual and it states incandescent may damage image sensor/camera. In what way can this happen. Will it be ok to have the light aimed slightly off from the camera? I am just worried about damaging the cameras because to me they are expensive so i am taking every precaution. the toss 0 Posted October 2, 2017 If you have your 150W floodlight facing the camera your not going to see anything anyway
David3853 0 Posted October 3, 2017 It seems just to be a precautionary measure. I did have lot of the light in the cameras view and no damage. I wouldn't recommend doing it just to be safe though.
