Analogue camera has poor night time quality

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone

I am running a DVR (Floureon) with a number of wired analogue cameras.

Three of them are Anran dome cameras with the following spec:

1200tvl

1/2.5' CMOS sensor

48 IR LED

One is outside and two are inside.

During daytime the external one is fine but its picture is terrible at night whereas the two inside show a good clear nighttime picture (see attached pics)

What could be causing this?

This camera WAS inside and was fine and it is only since going outside that the night image has crapped out.

All help appreciated

thanks

Tracy

I would say not enouh ir light outside. You could try an exterior ir light, Cmvision I believe is an affordable brand.

Then it could possibly be ir reflection? Is there anything close by, a wall or overhead that could be reflecting ir light? One way to tell is turning off the camera ir lighting leaving it in night mode, and turning the external ir light on.

1/2.5' CMOS sensor

that is your problem. CMOS effectively stands for Can't Make Out Spit, and I erred in the spelling of that last word

Sony Super HAD CCD or nothing.
