is it possible to flash dahua firmware to q-see cameras?

i have a number of Q-See cameras littered around my property and wondering since Q-see cameras are rebranded dahua cameras , if i could flash newer firmware on them from dahua?

 

qcn7001b are rebranded dahua IPC-HFW2100

qcn7006b are rebranded dahua IPC-HFW11xx series

qcn8012b are rebranded dahua (but dont know what model)

 

the Q-see firmware updater Wont update the qcn7001b with the 2100 firmware, tried multiple versions. Throws errors.

 

any info would be appreciated *IF* this is possible or not.

I'd love to know too, I have a few QCN7006B cameras that have some issues (http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=52109). Q-see hasn't updated the firmware since April 2016 and I'd be interested to see if a newer Dahua firmware fixes the issue.

 

I'd love to try a Dahua firmware on them.

Hello I have thrown away my Qsee QT8516 NVR and replaced it with a Hunt HNRP516.

 

I had 16 Qsee cameras. The 8 cameras that originally came with the Qsee NVR refuse to record motion. They will record continous but not motion. I spent hours on the phone with Hunt and Qsee. Qsee was ZERO help. I am sure there must be a firmware patch that makes the cameras compatible.

 

The cameras are QTN8039B

Software Version 3.4.1

Kernel 20140907

Software Build 2015-1-4

Hardware Version 1.3

Onvif Version 2.3

 

 

Do you have a firmware that could help with this issue before I have to go out and buy all new cameras?

 

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The only two things I can find are:

Software Version 2.210.QS00.0.R, build : 2016-04-25

WEB Version3.2.1.236006

 

Does that offer enough info for you to figure out what Dahua firmware is needed for this?

Got a couple of photos of the inside on the camera. Is anyone who is able to help identify the Dahua equivalent? Many thanks, in advance. I really need to try a Dahua firmware on this as the Q-See one has a ton of issues.
