gianrico 0 Posted December 18, 2017 Hello i have bricked my ipcamera while experimenting with it. It is a chinese one with fh8810 + sc1145. I was wondering of anyone in the forum owns one of these and is able to read the flash from address 0x0 to 0x10000 which holds the bootstrap code. I had made a backup of that partition (mtd0) and the others, but unfortunately the virtual machine with linux holding the backup died. So i have lost the backup. Nice! The cam uses an app called liveyes. The firmware inside was apollo. If you have one of these, the serial port can be found on the bottom side. You will find TX1 and RX1 and GND marked on some testing points. If you are confident with accessing the console of the device, you can mount an nfs disk and then use the mtdt binary onboard to read mtd0. I hope i will get a reply from someone as i do not want to throw it away. thanks gianrico
Guest Posted September 5, 2018 Hey man.. I have 3 such cameras. 2 of them have gm8135s + sc1145 and one is with fh8610. I was able to fully modify those 2 with gm8135s. Now i am connected to fh8610 on serial, but all i get is ROM ERROR NO: 217 ROM: Ok. Than camera produce the sound if i hold reset button i hear the reset sound, so the kernel must be running. Can you tell a bit more how you manage to get to the console with serial.. Thanks
