ggshirt 0 Posted December 31, 2017 Hello, I will be installing an Axis system at my business that will have 24 Axis cameras, mostly m3045-v's. I will be using Axis Camera Station on an Axis S1016 recorder. My business is highly regulated and we are required to keep an offsite copy of recordings for 30 days. I am looking for help on how to do this. My thought is to record on the Axis recorder as well as a NAS drive. Axis supports simultaneous recording to a NAS through EDGE storage. I am looking at installing a WD PR4100 NAS drive onsite and one at my home and configuring them to sync. I will likely upgrade my home connection to 1Gbps (only $20 more) and will be running a dedicated 500/500mbps connection at the business. Does this sound like a reasonable approach? Thanks for your help.
Securame 0 Posted January 3, 2018 It does. With current internet connections, if you have enough bandwidth it is quite doable to do redundant recording on site and off site.
