Good low light camera guidance needed

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm looking for some guidance. Our house is in the country with very little outside lights other than the moon and stars. I am looking for a camera that is going to be good in low light situations, but also has a long range. To give you an idea, from the back of my house to the tree line is 175', my driveway is 400'. I would like the cameras to be around the $200 range. I know the 400' driveway is unrealistic, I just want to be able to see as far down it as possible. There are a lot of trees on our property and we never know when someone is pulling down the driveway. I have been looking at these 3 cameras as options. All 3 seem to have a long IR range.

Hikvision DS-2CD2T25FWD-I5/I8

Dahau N44BB33

Honeywell HEW2PR2

I need to purchase at least 5 of those.

Additionally I need to look for something to cover my entryways. I'm not sure if those are the best for that option, since I wouldn't need the long distance, just really good low-light.

Any help is appreciated.

The Hikvision looks like a goiod choice, one of the ultra lowlight models. The Dahua doesn't, look for the Dahua Starlight models.
