bprj 0 Posted January 16, 2018 I'm setting up a camera on a roof pointing down to a parking lot. With the limited mounting positions available, the view I get from the camera is that the top half of the image is of the horizon and the bottom half is the parking lot. Since the camera faces west, when the sun is low in the sky, image of the parking lot is very dark even though the camera has good HDR capabilities. I'm thinking of physically masking off the top part the image (i.e. cover part of the front camera housing with something) since it's really not a critical part to record. Sounds simple but I'm not sure if that's the recommended method.
jazzar 0 Posted February 28, 2018 Nothing wrong in physicaly masking off the area. Vould use a camera that has privacy masking as a feature.
