I've spent so much time searching, the options are just mind boggling. Looking for some suggestions as to what would be the best free CCTV software out there for my needs.

 

1. Windows

2. ip based

3. SUPER SCALABLE like from one then can add on anytime

4. open source is a +

5. support tpz, remote viewing, password protected

6. great or customizable UI is a +

is Free ! It only works with cameras that have Hikvision

harware inside them!

I'd like to see some discussion on this. My needs are even simpler. I'd like to find a good viewer to replace the browser plugins.

I have a Flir (Dahua) system and more and browsers are unable to run the plugin without tweaking.

It would be nice to find an stand-alone bit of software for viewing from my computer.
