SAFEVO 0 Posted February 5, 2018 Hi all, Just signed up to this forum, Im an amateur at CCTV but managed to install a basic HIK kit. The problem i have is that my DVR has 1 HDMI out and 1 VGA out. I need to connect 3 monitors to it. I have used the VGA out and connected 1 monitor. I now need to connect 2 VGA monitors to 1 hdmi port. To make it more complicated, 1 monitor is at 10m distance, the other is 30m distance. So my question for you experts is how to connect the 2 above monitors? I don't mind having the same image on both of these monitors. I have had a little think and would like to know if this the best way of doing it: DVR hdmi output > HDMI splitter HDMi splitter output 1 > 10m HDMI cable > hdmi to vga adaptor > Vga into monitor. HDMi splitter output 2 > hdmi to cat 6 sender > 30m Cat 6 cable > cat6 to hdmi receiver > hdmi to vga adaptor > vga to monitor Or can anybody else suggest a better way without using so many adaptors? tomcctv 190 Posted February 6, 2018 Hi. Sounds like you are only on VGA monitors ........you are wasting money going HDMI back to VGA image quality is crap. You can still use your VGA out and connect 4 monitors. In your case 10m VGA can be had for $30 10m VGA cable $40 And then just use a VGA power boost splitter $
