Q-See Dvr power outage and now no video on monitor

Recommended Posts

I have a Q-See QC444 DVR, I have had it for about four years maybe more give or take. The DVR has always worked great no problems that i can recall but recently my power went out(power has went out before with no problems)for just a few seconds,When it turned back on there was no video on any of my four cameras. The monitor shows all four boxes and the green light & red light in each box and the cam numbers and even date info at top.But everything else is black on screen shows no video for any of the four cameras.I tried restarting it i unplugged it for sometime and disconnected and reconnected the cameras but still nothing.I was thinking maybe hard drive took a dump but not sure.Just wondering if someone could maybe give me a suggestion on what it could be wrong.I would appreciate any info someone could give me.Thanks very much for your time..

I noticed i can look at past recorded camera footage of any time before the power outage that caused all cameras to go black. So that makes me think the dvr is still working and so is hard drive.Maybe all four cameras

took a dump. That would be real strange.Just dont know what to to do..

Hi in your first post you said still getting screen display ..... which is a sign of power supply problems

All play back is working also means camera power supply

How did you test power supply ..... how many do you have ..... one for each camera or box type
