Shash 0 Posted March 1, 2018 Hello, iv been having trouble trying to find a good CCTV kit for my mum in her semi-attach house for her front and back garden. We had a pro look at our house and gave us a price of £800 to install 2 cameras on unkown spec or even know what it looked like, so we ditched that. What we looking for: White colour, Bullet mainly but we dont mind domes. Not cheaply looking ofc . At least 2 cams with 3mp or if you think a cam with 1080p has really good quility, (i dont know if we being to picky wanting better quility to see faces as one of the kit was 1080p and felt it was 720p when fullscreened.) No wireless (which is hackable) and no PoE since i am a heavy online gamer that kinda needs most the internet speed i can get. A good wide angle since the neighbers would like to have there gardens in sight so no less than 80 degrees wide i think. A good DVR with controls with easy software as the mother would like ease of control. Good night vision at least a good range of 20-30m. We have friends that can install the cameras for us for free. We already bought 2 kits online which we already returned. First kit was the ANNKE (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01DGJLLEU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1) with 4 cheaply made cams and she didnt like the DVR which felt tinny, we had to buy a HDD separate which didnt get delivered on the same day so we couldnt test the picture so we canceled it and returned the kit. Second kit was Zxtech (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112781345217) we loved the metal material they used and didnt feel cheap, the bullet cam that came with it felt gainy and not as clear as 1080p should be (i played with all the settings it had to try make it look better but nothing). While the babydome that is 5x smaller felt better and more clearer specialy at night as they claimed its IR is 10m yet i could see 100m, while the bullet claimed to be 40m yet could only see 10m. And ofc they tell me am wrong (ppl who selt the cams). So for the sake of my head explodeing as there are to many CCTV cams out there i need help in trying to find a good set of CCTV. Budget around £250 but if we wanting the good stuff we willing to go around £400.

Neutech 0 Posted March 24, 2018 £250 and Good quality do not go in the same sentence I'm afraid Before you start to select equipment you need to understand the old "one at the front and one at the back" scenario is never going to give you what you need for any form of quality, your talking about General observation not Identification by limiting your system this way. Who is going to carry out the installation? Drop me a PM and i can point you in the right direction
