chrispetty 0 Posted March 7, 2018 I have an older system (2012ish) and the DVR went bad (Swann DVR42550) I have the Pro 500 cameras, which still work but need a new DVR. Can I use these cameras with a different brand DVR or do I have to stay with Swann? Any recommendations would be great too. I have 4 cameras and want to be able to view them on my phone when I'm a way. The old DVR was a pain in the butt and could never get it to work. Also, does anyone make a DVR that you don't have to wire directly to my router since my router is in a different room from where my DVR is and trying to run a cable is tough.
