Hikvision NVR with Dahua IP camera

Hi

 

After purchasing the Netgear Arlo Pro 2 and returning it for a full refund the next day I figured might as well do my own setup for best results.

 

Anyway, the camera I want. is a 12mp camera from dahua but runs 30 fps @ 4k which I will be recording at.

Now I want to give my neighbours access so they can view the live stream via ios/android or windows app as my house has a very good line of sight down both ends of the street and also make them feel at ease that I am not spying.

 

I can see the Dahua doesn't have much support in this regard, only desktop application however I see Hikvision does have a ios/android app and supports third party cameras which I assume it will work with the Dahua?

Can anyone confirm it will work with full camera functions before purchasing?

I can see the Dahua doesn't have much support in this regard, only desktop application

 

They have more support for that camera than hikvision nvr

 

You will loose some functions going onvif connection.

 

Stick with the same manufacture it will save you problems

 

Look at dahua or lorex nvrs or just run the camera via a pc and still use all the dahua apps
