EASTERBUNS 0 Posted March 31, 2018 Is there a way that i could convert a BNC Connector to an Ethernet Connector or a USB Port. Since the Camera is not an IP camera, i suppose having an adapter plug it into a Ethernet port of router will not work anyway. As there would not be an Ip adress. Yet another way to have an adapter to convert the BNC to USB adapter and plug that directly into my Laptop. Would Possibly let me use my Laptop recording software to view or record the camera. the software does accept USB cameras. I ask this question because i have 2 extra ahd cameras and want to use them at a location that does not have a DVR or NVR. Just a Laptop recorder.
ShaneR 0 Posted March 31, 2018 I believe you need a capture card in order to pull up the video. There are bnc to usb capture cards out there, I would do a lot research as you get what you pay for.
tomcctv 190 Posted March 31, 2018 Hi. It would be cheaper and better just to buy a 4 way AHD recorder and use that USB with those cameras will not work
