jhendor 0 Posted April 10, 2018 Please i think i am a bit confused and frustrated now. Why is this happening? I just finished setting up a CCTV system with 32 AHD 2mp cameras and 32 channel 1080p DVR. Even though some cameras are over 120m away from the DVR, everything works fine. I also have an inverter as back up. Inverter is 1000KVA, battery is 12V, 100A Unfortunately, I noticed that whenever there is a power outage and thus switching between generator and grid power, the DVR usually restarts itself and i wonder why. Anybody also experienced this? What can i do to resolve this?

tomcctv 190 Posted April 11, 2018 depend in type of inverter and how the change over is Easy way is to fit a uninterrupted power supply between inverter and dvr just to stop dvr from loosing power The cheap way would be remove mains power from dvr then connect dvr direct to battery
