record via a switch by motion ( USB Box ) ?

about an official instruction I may record only by switch if nobody is in the building by motion.

Is that even possible with Geovision ?

System: NVR Ver. 8.5.9.0

I am not sure if you mean a physical on off switch or what. You can set a schedule in geovision to set time of day to record and the recording method. For instance full time during business hours and motion after closing time.
