agentsmith 0 Posted June 4, 2018 I have a vivotek IP8332-C. I barely used it and it was fine. I stored it for awhile. I pulled it out and set it up again and the image is purple. Everything is PURPLE! I am on the latest version of firmware, 0401a. I have tried reinstalling the latest version of firmware 2 more times. Same result. I've done several resets and reboots. Nothing changes. I have removed the back plate to do a hard reset, according to the manual. It says the LED should be switching from red to green and then when I hold the reset button, it should flash repeatedly. However, mine is not changing from red to green. It is steady red the whole time. If I hold the button, it never hyperflashes, no matter how long I hold it. It stays steady red. It will reboot but I don't believe it's doing a hard reset. And the red light never goes off. I'd like to try an older version of firmware but can't find one anywhere. Any other ideas?
GadgetAssistant 0 Posted June 23, 2018 Hello. What happens when you shine a flashlight right into the camera's light sensor?
agentsmith 0 Posted June 23, 2018 I managed to get it into daytime mode by smacking it. Now it's stuck in daytime mode and is pitch black in the night. I've contacted Vivotek and they've been no help because it's out of the warranty period. I barely used this camera and then stored it in a cabinet for years and now I'd like to use it again. Is there anyone who repairs these or any way for me to find the part and do it myself? Thanks.
