Adding more IP cam to a 16ch NVR

Hi CCTV Experts,

 

Need your expertise here.

Is a 16ch NVR limited for 16 IP cam only?

Or possible to add 16+ more IP cam by adding POE switch to expand the build-in POE ports in the NVR?

Existing NVR brand/model is Hikvision DS-7616NI-E2/16P.

 

Hope someone can shed some light on this.

Only 16ch.

You either need to buy a new nvr or go blue iris, plus i think there is other programs out there but from what I hear everyone loves Blue Iris, ya can go max 64 cams.
