Honeywell PTZ POE help

Recommended Posts

Hello all, we are looking for some help/advice on how best to power a Honeywell HDZ302LIW PTZ camera.

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1332161-REG/honeywell_hdz302liw_outdoor_ptz_ir_ultra.htm

We were hoping to set this up on a remote monitoring site that will be 100% off the grid for a animal monitoring station that will be utilized by a team of researchers. the stations will be powered by solar and wind power. We are utilizing Netonix switches to provide connectivity and also supply POE to the cameras https://www.netonix.com/wisp-switch/ws-12-250-dc.html , they are designed for WISP use and do everything we need.

The issue we have is we cannot get the cameras to power on. The switch will provide POE at 24v .75A, 24v 1.5A, 48v .75A, or 48v 1.5A. We have tried both 24v .75 and 24v 1.5A poe, and the camera will not power up. The cameras claim to work off of a 24v 3.0A AC power supply, or HiPOE. According to the documentation they draw a max of 32W without IR enabled, but I was told by a sales rep that we needed a 60w power supply. It looks to me like that 60w POE injectors out there are 48v.

My question is can i send the camera POE @ 48v?

Honeywell support is pretty much nonexistent if you are not a dealer or licensed installer.

thanks everyone in advance,
